Mini Rose:
Dissolve growing medium pellets in 3/4 cup of water, fluff with fork, and place into pot. Sow mini rose seeds 1/4" deep and lightly cover with growing medium. Place in a bright location with ample air circulation; keep growing medium moist but not overwatered. Mini rose seeds will germinate in 4-6 weeks. Once seedlings develop their second set of leaves, begin watering with plant fertilizer mixed at half-strength.

Tip: Mini roses germinate best in cooler temperatures between 60° and 70°F.

No drainage? No problem. Easily add drainage by drilling a hole in the bottom-center of the pot.

Forget-Me-Not:
Dissolve growing medium pellets in 3/4 cup of water, fluff with fork, and place into pot. Sow forget-me-not seeds 1/8" deep and lightly cover with growing medium. Place in a warm, bright location with ample air circulation; keep growing medium moist but not overwatered. Forget-me-not seeds will germinate in 7-21 days. Once seedlings develop their second set of leaves, begin watering with balanced plant fertilizer mixed at half-strength.

No drainage? No problem. Easily add drainage by drilling a hole in the bottom-center of the pot.

The positive I needed

This has been a mood boost seeing my little sprouts appear and flourish. I want to get more!

Flowers

Lovely little kit, the buckets were far larger than I had expected - which is a good thing. I often see similar little grow kits at the dollar store and those buckets are TINY, these ones are larger than an avg coffee mug and are much better suited for growing plants. The forget me nots came with a lot of seeds (~10-15) and quickly sprouted within 3ish days of planting them. They are growing strong!The roses, however, were the ones I was looking most forward too and have shown no such luck. They came with 3 seeds which I very carefully planted according to the instructions. It has been about 2 weeks now with no luck. Maybe they are just (really) late bloomers but I have little hope of them sprouting at this point.

I was kind of skeptical on growing roses from seed, but one has already sprouted! I have them in a regular pot, not the pail, as I wanted drainage holes. I'm using the pail for other things. This does make a good gift, and I'm excited to see these grow!

Cute

Very cute little starter set. My daughter loves them. They are smaller than I had hoped. More of a cup than a bucket but it's fine for starting flowers. The included dirt puck and seeds are adequate for the task but a little more dirt and a few more seeds would give better success as only about 1/2 the seeds sprouted. Overall it's cute little kit though.
