Dissolve growing medium pellets in 2¼ cups water, fluff with fork, and place into pot. Sow coneflower and black-eyed Susan seeds ¼” deep and lightly cover with growing medium. Place in a warm, bright location with ample air circulation; keep growing medium moist but not overwatered. Days to germinate: coneflower: 14-21 days, black-eyed Susan: 7-21 days. When the seedlings develop their second set of leaves, begin watering with balanced plant fertilizer mixed at half-strength.

No drainage? No problem. Easily add drainage by drilling a hole in the bottom-center of the pot.

Black-eyed Susan germination is enhanced when temperatures are kept warm, between 70° and 75°F.
