From seed to bloom, enjoy the satisfaction of growing your own aromatic lavender and creating a calming, fragrant retreat in your home.

In a large bowl, dissolve growing medium pellets in 5-1/4 cups of water, fluff with fork, and place into basket. Sow seeds directly onto the surface of the growing medium, gently press in, and do not cover – lavender seeds need light to germinate. Place in a warm, bright location with ample air circulation; keep growing medium moist but not overwatered. A spray bottle is recommended for watering, as strong water flow can wash away the tiny seeds. Lavender seeds will germinate in 4-6 weeks. Once seedlings develop their second set of leaves, begin watering with balanced plant fertilizer mixed at half-strength.

No drainage? No problem. Holes can be drilled within the two circles imprinted on the bottom of the basket.

Tip: Lavender seeds germinate best in warm temperatures between 70° and 75°F.

Beautiful Basket Kit

I've had enormous success with Buzzy kits over the years. Every kit that I've gotten from them has produced beautiful flowers. The kits include everything you need and usually have adorable planters. The instructions are always clear and easy to follow. Just follow the instructions and it just works.This particular kit has a great planter basket. Just the perfect planter for lavender growing out of it. Thus far I haven't gotten to the point of having blooms, but I do have sprouts after a couple of weeks. I've no doubt that the flowers won't be long in coming. Buzzy kits just work.This kit especially would make a wonderful gift. Unlike some of the other kits, the basket is the primary package. It would make a fantastic Easter or Mother's Day gift.Highly recommended.

I’m loving this lavender grow kit so far. The white basket looks cute and I like that everything needed to get started is included in one kit. It comes with the seeds, growing medium, and instructions, so there is not much guesswork involved. The instructions are simple to follow, which makes it a nice option for beginners or anyone who does not normally grow plants. Overall it’s a thoughtful little kit that’s good for beginners and also looks cute for seasoned gardeners.

This is an adorable mothers day or coworker gift. It looks like a small fence and is quite large. It has optional drill holes for water seepage after the seeds germinate so it's actually a functional planter. It took awhile for my lavender seeds to germinate (which is normal for lavender if you've grown it before) but I finally have seedlings! It feels and looks well built and is super cute.Pricing is ok, you are definitely paying for the novelty
