Strawberry Grow Kit | Ceramic Basket Planter

I planted these a month ago and can't say I notice any hint of sprouting or anything. I have followed the directions, and I actually leave it outside on our balcony that gets about 4 hours of direct sunlight on it every morning and have kept up with watering it to the specified amount. This is still the season that's supposed to be when it grows, but even with all of these factors in my favor, I've noticed nothing.Otherwise, the planter is okay quality and made of ceramic, but I feel like this is pretty overpriced for what it is, and the fact that you get so few seeds for something that apparently doesn't have the greatest germination rate.

This is a really cute and well-designed grow kit. The ceramic strawberry basket looks decorative enough to keep out on a patio or kitchen windowsill, and it makes the whole growing experience feel a bit more special compared to a standard plastic planter.So far, the plants have started to sprout, and even though they are still very small, they look healthy and strong. The soil and seeds seem to be good quality, and everything arrived neatly packaged with clear enough basics to get started.I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because growth is a bit slow at this stage, but that’s more of an expectation thing than a real issue with the product itself. I’m really looking forward to seeing them grow bigger and hopefully bear fruit soon.

The container is what got me tbh. I always love a cute container. However, I am skeptical of how well this will work. From my experience with kits like these the plants rarely germinate. And if they do they rarely survive a transplant. However!! I have not tried this brand, its a bit more expensive than the rest. But, I dont like these seed starters they use, its fine to mix eith but alone its not the best to use imo. But for consistency sake I am following instructions. The container is a good size for seed starting but would not be appropriate for a full strawberry plant. The instructions were easy and I was done in five minutes. I gave four stars because I was disappointed in the amount of seeds. But, it always seems that way for me. I cant tell you how many times ive bought an empty seed packet. This one was close! Maybe 5-6 seeds? Fine if they all germinate but what are the odds here? The glass and packaging were of good quality- so I am excited to see how well everything goes. Its been so rainy here that I have neglected starting them after the last frost. My other strawberries from last year somehow lasted through the winter outside no less, so hopefully once I get these going they can go in my strawberry tower too. (I added pics of the process. This is a sweet little set that I started at the end of April. I do have one tiny sprout, but I’m not completely sure it’s from one of the seeds since the directions say six weeks until germination. The weather has been switching between cold and hot recently, so I have the whole container on a seed warming mat.The container is ceramic, not plastic, which makes it so nice to look at. The directions are very thorough, even to mention that pollination is necessary to produce fruit. The kit itself is really easy to get started, so I’m hoping to have a little strawberry patch of my own. I have been told that strawberries can be very invasive, so I’ll be careful about where I finally plant them outside.I don’t know how difficult or easy strawberry seeds are to start, but I’m on my way to finding out.
