Kids My First Garden Grow Kit | Tomato & Sunflower (2 Pots with Tray)

This product was so fun to put together. I did this with my younger child and it was so easy. We are now waiting on to see what may grow!

I’ve never had great luck starting plants from seed. Usually they’ll sprout that first tiny leaf and then die off-or never germinate at all. In this kit, though, the sunflowers actually sprouted and are growing surprisingly well. The tomatoes haven’t germinated yet, so we’ll see how those go, but the sunflowers are looking promising so far.
The kit itself is super easy to use. It comes with dirt pellets that expand when you add water, and the instructions tell you exactly how much water to use and roughly how long germination should take. They even include small chalkboard signs that clip onto the metal pots for labeling your plants. Overall, it’s simple, tidy, and really cute.

This is a great little kit that comes with everything you need to grow your own tomatoes and sunflowers. They even include little chalk signs and a piece of chalk to label your plants. Great for kids and adults who want to try their hand at some easy gardening! Really decent price for everything included and the size of the pots for reuse in the future for other things!

Tomato and Sunflower seeds are to germinate in peat pellets inside metal planters. The planting medium is two peat pellets that are activated in water, and then the seeds are planted in (see photo attached to this review for reference). You will want to note that peat pellets must stay moist on top so the seeds will sprout so I plan to check them each morning for watering needs since they are spending their days in direct sunlight.
