I bought them to fill in some empty spots along my backyard fence line and they are the easiest things ever to plant.The ball material feels very solid, sturdy, and durable rather than crumbly, so they do not fall apart in your hands when you handle them. They come in a nice earthy brown color and are packed tightly with clay and compost to protect the seeds from birds or washing away in heavy rain. The actual flower seeds inside are high quality, and knowing there are over fifty seeds packed into each ball gives you a lot of confidence that you will get a great sprout.They are a fantastic everyday item to have on hand for quick and eco friendly outdoor gardening projects. Having twenty balls in the pack gives you plenty of coverage to toss or scatter around your yard, and it is a super fun and simple activity to do with family on a sunny weekend afternoon.

The physical balls arrived in great condition with no damage, and their size makes them incredibly easy to handle, place, and scatter compared to dealing with hundreds of loose, tiny traditional seeds.​Unfortunately, the actual results after two months of planting have been highly disappointing. Out of all the seed balls planted, they have only generated about four actual plants, and the only variety that has successfully grown is geranium. While the geranium germinated quickly and started growing without much delay, a wildflower mix should ideally produce a beautiful, diverse layout of multiple species. To add to the frustration, a handful of dandelions popped up in the very same pots, while it's tough to tell if those unwanted weeds came directly from the clay balls or simply blew in from the backyard, they had to be yanked out regardless.​The initial price point felt pretty steep, and given that the pack failed to deliver a rich variety of blooms, it ultimately didn't turn out to be worth the investment. It’s a fun, low-fuss activity to try out, but the lack of consistent, diverse seed quality makes this particular set a bust if you're looking for a true blanket of colorful garden blooms.
